There are no standard tests or exams in the American High School Diploma. Learners are graded on the level of mastery achieved within a subjects context. Grading can be done by a parent, tutor or faciltator.

The primary focus is on learning.

Learners seeking University admission are required to write the SAT Test: SAT is a Scholastic Aptitude Test, a standardised test that measures College / University readiness. SAT is not a qualification, it is a University admission test.

For parents who want assessments for their children we offer Project Based Learning (PBL). Project Based Learning assessments covers the content or the subjects ensuring a variety of competencies, skills, values and attitudes are assessed allowing learners to demonstrate their own unique potential and ways of thinking. Project Based Learning is a student centered, inquiry based learning method in which students are stimulated to learn through:

  • Reflection and reasoning
  • Problem solving techniques
  • Self-directed learning strategies
  • Research

Universities have varying SAT score requirements, parents and learners are advised to check these requirements with their university of choice.
